Today was a little challenging. Hannah is pretty into her routine, and while occasional variances are fine, several days in a row of having an altered routine can make going back to "normal" a little, um difficult. I knew that today would be hit or miss, so I planned on staying home, only getting out to run a few "car errands" (bank, post office, dry-cleaners, etc). However, we never left the house, and I got very little done around the house. It's so funny how you can have your day all planned out and your toddler can alter your plan entirely! Hannah could care less if I get anything marked off my to-do list, and honestly it is days like today that help me have the perspective that in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter. We had a rough morning, but the afternoon was much better. We had lots of cuddles, hugs and tears, and Hannah spent the greater part of the morning without pants (I have no idea where this one came from- she was just not having anything to do with getting dressed today. It took me forever to get her into a shirt, and I gave up on the pants, figuring that sooner or later I would get them on her- and I did, just in time for her nap. Because there was no way I was putting that child down for a nap with just a diaper- that is asking for trouble) Tomorrow we will try again to run errands, and hopefully we will make it out of the house. Mike will be off on Wednesday and Thursday (hooray!) so if our routine is a miss, I don't think it really matters- it will be next week before things are back to "normal" for more than a couple of days in a row. Hoping you are all either enjoying down time or having a better time of easing back into the swing of things!
Mama was right. Days like those seem to go on and on and on.... I've had a few myself.
Hope today was better.

Aww, hope things are back to normal. We are pretty off schedule over here too.
