I am not the biggest Halloween fan. I hate how demonic/slutty it has become. But I thought Hannah made a very adorable giraffe, and she enjoyed seeing her grandparents and her Uncle Janson. My big plans for last night included going to bed early, and getting high on Vick's Vapor Rub. Since I had (have) a cold, I didn't want to mess with trick or treaters, but I also didn't want our house egged/tp'd/any other form of Halloween prank, so I put out a basket of candy on the front porch. To my surprise almost all of the candy was there when I turned off the porch light and brought it in. It was chilly- and some genius decided that yesterday would be the best day to start sealing our streets. So yesterday, the entrance to our neighborhood plus the first couple of blocks where closed. Perhaps that had something to do with the low turnout of candy takers. Today our street and the two streets you go down to get to our street are closed. Did I mention we are going out of town today? And since the streets surrounding our own are closed we will have to drag our luggage, the dogs and Hannah several blocks to load up the car. And I have a cold. And no I'm not the least bit grumpy. Why do you ask?
